Jenna + Nathan celebrated a sensationally Bohemian (Boho Chic) Wedding at Barr Mansion, which was filled with free-spirits and monumental love. The wedding style, Bohemian, being dubbed Boho Chic, is an eclectic mix of hippie and artistic flair. It can be defined in terms of free love, adventurous, frugality, and individuals involved with music, artistic or literary pursuits. There are no longer any rules for wedding design and anything goes. Couples are encouraged to make their wedding a true statement of their personalities. Even better, with this style you can layer to emphasis a sub wedding design, such as Garden Bohemian style, Vintage Bohemian style , or whatever style. It is totally carefree and relaxed.

Bohemian weddings are kind of one of our favorites. It is layered with textures, prints, and plenty of free-spiritied prettiness. This wedding really begins as a core of personality, representing the essence of who the bride and groom are. Jenna, one of my favorite persons, which has a little something to do with her being my sister-in-law, is a remarkable person in grace, love, kindness, and of course, free-spirit. I love it. Nathan is indeed a compliment to these traits, full of wit and humor. Together, they define beauty.

Their wedding style brought together some of the most amazing DIY talent ever seen. Melinda, the mother of the bride and I do believe the culprit to all of Jenna’s greatness, set out to grow Jenna’s favorite flower the Daisy. Quite a perfect choice since the flower symbolism associated with the daisy is purity, innocence, loyal love, beauty, patience and simplicity. A touch of daisies throughout the wedding day was just enough to put a smile on your face. Secondly, the wealth of love was truly represented in the paper-cut banners, also created by Melinda, which hung in the reception space. An epic piece of art. The holistic nature of the tree took center stage, where the roots go as deep as the branches reach. The tree represents the past, present, and future as seen in the roots, trunk, and branches. A complete compliment to the ceremony site. To finish the design, their hobbies and heritage was incorporated, down to the little details, such as their involvement with the Red Swing Project.

In between, there was a comfortable elegance in lounge design, elegant food stations, earthly beauty, and tender emotional moments. I do believe there are symbolic meanings of the venue being located on Sprinkle Road….and the sprinkle of rain on this wedding day. Not too many sprinkles, but just enough to shower a little luck (not that they need it) on these two. Perfection, I think. Oh, and enough cuteness to go around with the most darling flower girl and ring bearer.
