National Event Planner of the Year
The National Association of Catering Events (NACE) conference held in Chicago presented the annual awards of the best of the best and again, the Houston chapter represented and took home some top honors. With more than 4,000 members, the organization is the oldest and largest professional association dedicated to all aspects of the catering and events industry. To be selected top honors among your peers is always exciting, but to be selected as the National Event Planner of the Year is beyond words, and I am so thrilled with this prestigious honor. To give you a little insight as to the determination of the firm, Kat Creech Events takes extraordinary ideas and creates epic realities for their clients. I also believes that branding and designing is essential to any event, from corporate to social, and it is all about the little details.
Kat Creech Events was founded in 2010. In the first year of business, Kat Creech closed the year off with two published weddigs, a national award for Best Wedding of the Year, and a national award for Best Catered Event of the Year. The firm also took on several national events, and a 1,000 person company picnic, which was 100% sustainable and recycled. The firm proved that sustainable events could be done with the right vendors and resources. The years that followed were filled with giving back to the student community by mentoring at the University of Houston Conrad N. Hilton, guest lecturing, and summer internship programs. The firm also gives back to the local charities by working with the U.S. Vets on their annual event, which created a state of the art kitchen facility for homeless vets. Finally, the firm was instrumental in developing an annual fundraiser event called the Golden Noodle Mac and Cheese Competition for the local NACE chapter to support their educational directives and the Foundation of NACE, an organization which provides over $100K in student scholarships annually. All along, the firm offers an unrelenting commitment to planning and designing beautiful weddings and events for our clients while keeping the environment in mind. In general, the firm looks for unique ideas that fits the clients style and personality while celebrating the local markets.
The firm is proud to be a listed wedding planner on the Grace Ormonde Platinum List, as well as an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau, Wedding Wire Rated, selected as the 2013 Brides Choice for the Weddings in Houston Magazine, awarded The Knot Best of Weddings, and listed as the Top 5 Planners by Social Tables. The overall focus is to be a designer and event planner who plans great events that are worth talking about. No matter the budget, the end goal is to ensure that it is the best day of the clients lives, and if I can touch the local community along the way, then that is a good day and well worth it.
Who says you can’t have a little fun!
