Houston Brides Modern Luxury:: Mint Green and Gold wedding design

The word ‘luxury’ brings up so many different thoughts.  This year at the Houston Brides Modern Luxury magazine:: Evening of Bridal Luxury show, Kat Creech Events first thought ‘mint green and gold’.  With an English Garden inspiration, we wanted to follow the tradition of presenting an idealized view of nature with lush pastel florals, rich metallic details on the china and linens, and towering candelabras.

English gardens were inspired by the art of the time, like landscapes by Claude Lorraine and Nicolas Poussin.   ‘Eye Catchers’ were used across the gardens as little wonders to delight the viewer, much like the rich rose macarons we set by each place setting.  Something sweet and surprising not only to the eye, but to the palate, as well.

Creating a series of views and tableaus decorating the entire length of the table, following our English Garden theme, led us to new and lovely design ideas!  We chose succulents for the center of the stunning place settings for two reasons.  It was one way to bring the countryside to the table and because of their striking and unusual appearance.

Considering that brides were mixing and mingling with 50 of the top Houston bridal planners, beauty consultants and cake designers, it was an event of the year.  The brides also enjoyed a fashion show produced by Neal Hamil Modeling Agency which showcased some seriously lovely gowns.
