David Tutera Your Wedding Experience VIP Circus Reception was a celebration to kickoff his inaugural bridal show in the Houston market. The bridal show was a resounding experience bringing the best of the local wedding vendors and the hottest wedding trends to help create unique weddings for couples. To welcome David Tutera to the Houston wedding market, we brought together some of the best of the best creative partners to stylize a VIP circus-inspired event for key clients. This intimate meet and greet was indeed a special experience.

Lead by Melange Events and Catering guru Harold Kelly, we had the honor to be selected as the designer and idea girl. We played with monochromatic bright colors for the linen and floral centerpieces. The combination of sequins and confetti linens was whimsical yet offered a dramatic elegance. The eccentric white furniture anchored the space, providing a invitation to join the circus fun. The towering colorful feather centerpieces brought your attention to the glass columns showcasing vintage circus images. Look closely, you might see some of your favorite characters from the circus past. The lighting patterns were the perfect backdrop for this big top bash.

Culinary delights tempted your taste buds with some circus classics like popcorn, but not just your everyday popcorn. This was all about pairing unique and unexpected flavors together to create a yummy surprise. Stylized food stations of sugar cones filled with salmon mousse and caviar along with heirloom tomatoes with distinctive flavored sea salts were impressive. It was wonderful to see our guest of honor truly enjoy the flavors of Melange Events.

As with all great events, ancillary entertainment is vital. While great tunes filled the atmosphere, the circus characters were delightfully entertaining. All in all, they just make you happy as you sipped on your pink elegant signature cocktail and classic lollipop. Oh, and did I mention, it all happened in a really cool new venue nestled in the midtown area of Houston.
